Some rights apply to all employees as soon as they start work; others depend on factors such as length of service, continuity of employment and activities in addition to the job (eg union work). Most rights apply only to employees but some apply to wider groups of workers.

WorkRep publishes employment law information, updates and the latest case decisions. In the first instance WorkRep attempts to help workers by way of negotiation with employers which can bring about a settlement acceptable to both sides that is less stressful to all involved. Agreeing a settlement with your employer does not mean that the results are any inferior to those obtained by way of going to a tribunal hearing. The opposite can be true.
